February Favourites

IMG_0069.JPG

Good afternoon everyone, I can't quite believe that we are basically in March already, I am not quite sure where February went! To say I am excited for spring is an understatement, I cannot wait for some warmer weather and I have been browsing floaty summer clothes and sandals on ASOS constantly. Although I must admit I am secretly loving this snow we are having at the moment, it reminds me so much of the days when I lived in Chicago. February was a busy month of highs and lows for me, but I am really starting to get in the groove of creating regular content for you guys and I have some exciting ideas for the next few months! So lets get in to what I have been loving this past month.

Reading

Outlander: I had heard people raving about these books and the series for a while so I decided to give it a go and I really enjoyed the first book. With some history, a bit of magic/fantasy (think witches and time travel) and some romance/passion it is a fab read.

Listening

Vance Joy: I am loving his new album, I have had it on loads in the background while I am working as it is the perfect chilled background music!

Doing

Bullet Journaling: This was a new adventure for me in 2018, I am an absolute stationary and planner addict but I had always steered clear of bullet journals. For those of you who don't know what they are, they are basically empty notebooks (link to the one I use) that you can then create your own diary/agenda/planner in. I am absolutely loving mine, it is a fab creative outlet and allows you to totally tailor your diary to your needs. For example, in my bullet journal I have calendars for organising and brainstorming blog posts as well as my day-to-day to-do lists. I am definitely not artistic and I have made a few ugly layouts, but it is still so much fun. I have a bullet journal board on my Pinterest account if you are looking for some inspo.

Eating

Pip and Nut: I bought one of the MASSIVE 1kg tubs of their smooth peanut butter at the start of the month and I am ashamed about how much of it I have eaten already, let's just say I have been eating peanut butter a lot this month. Also their smooth PB is seriously the best, its unlike any other one I have tried! It is on sale on Ocado right now, you can thank me later.

Using

Caudalie Hand Cream: I am one of those people whose hands and lips are dry even in the middle of the summer so I have definitely been struggling this past month with all the cold weather. This hand cream has been a saviour for my cracked knuckles, not only does it have the most relaxing smell, it isn't greasy, moisturises like a dream and is made with natural ingredients.

Watching

The Good Place: My boyfriend introduced my mum and I to this show and we quickly became hooked. The episodes are 20 min long and are so funny and easy to watch, Kristen Bell is the main character in it and she is amazing. You can find it on here netflix!

Celebrating

Exam results: I received my January exam results last week and I was very pleased with them so I am definitely celebrating that the stress and hard work paid off!

Hannah: As a lot of you know, we had to say goodbye to my lovely dog, Hannah, last week and it was really tough. I am slowly getting past the sad and angry emotions and trying to think back to the amazing 10 years we had with her, so I am definitely celebrating her memory.
