Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl
Hello everyone and happy Sunday, I hope you have all had a relaxing weekend! Today I am sharing my super simple berry smoothie bowl recipe. I am a bit late to the smoothie bowl bandwagon, apart from their beautiful appearance I never got the point of having a smoothie in a bowl - boy was I missing out. I tried one this weekend and absolutely loved it, it's almost like having a bowl of sorbet, so yummy! The great thing about these is that you can pretty much top them with whatever you like, I chose raspberries, blueberries, goji berries, flaked almonds, ground flaxseed and some edible flowers.
Easy Breezy Berry Smoothie Bowl
Time: 10 min
1 frozen banana
1 cup fresh mixed berries
2 tbsp greek yoghurt
1/4 cup almond milk
4-6 ice cubes
1. Literally the easiest thing ever: add it all to a blender and blend until smooth! If you want your bowl a little thicker, add more ice, if you want it runnier, add more almond milk.
2. Pour into a bowl and top with toppings to your heart's desire. Tip: add the heaviest ones last so that they don't have as much time to sink while you add the others!
*A great tip is to add a scoop of protein powder for those who are looking for some extra protein at breakfast.
